Towbar Fitting

Do you need to fit a towbar, cycle rack or roof rack to your vehicle?

Why Use the Professionals?

Before any vehicle can be used for towing it is necessary to fit a towbar and in all probability to modify the direction indicator system and to fit the required socket or sockets to power a caravan or trailer's lights and appliances. There was a time when these tasks were within the compass of an amateur with reasonable DIY skills. These days, however, with increasingly complex auto-electrical systems, it is a very different situation.

It is essential that connections are made in a correct and safe manner as faulty wiring or the use of an inappropriate wiring kit could result in serious damage to some vehicles. Others simply would not function properly leading to road safety issues. In addition it is all too easy to damage the bodywork of the tow vehicle during installation of a towbar and this procedure could involve cutting the bumper. Mistakes could be disastrous and extremely costly and so it is best to use a professional fitter.
